What is a coconut bowl?

How do you take care of your coconut shell?

- Wash your bowl by hand in lukewarm water, preferably with a natural soap. Do not soak the shell for too long.
- Do not use the dish in the microwave, oven, refrigerator or dishwasher.
- The shell can not withstand extreme heat. Do you have a boiling hot curry? Let it cool for a while before scooping this delicacy into the bowl.
- Have you used your scale 15 times? Polish it with some coconut oil. If you do this every 15 times, you will keep your shell nice and firm.
- Take good care of your scale, then it will last hundreds of times!
What’s so unique about it?
Every year millions of coconuts are harvested for their water, oil and meat. The peels then disappear into the waste heap or are incinerated. A shame, because the peels can be used as a bowl for eating out. This prevents millions of plastic trays from ending up on the same waste heap, which are not degradable by the environment.
